What should I expect at my first hearing appointment?
Your first visit takes about 60-90 minutes. We'll discuss your hearing history, examine your ears, conduct a comprehensive hearing evaluation, and review results with you. If hearing loss is found, we'll discuss treatment options tailored to your lifestyle and budget.
Do I need a referral to see an audiologist?
No referral is needed. You can schedule directly with us. However, if your insurance requires a referral, we recommend checking with them first. We accept most major insurance plans and can verify your benefits before your appointment.
How do I know if I need a hearing test?
Common signs include asking people to repeat themselves, difficulty hearing in noisy environments, turning up the TV volume, or feeling like others mumble. If you're over 50, we recommend annual hearing screenings even without symptoms.
What hearing aid brands do you carry?
We work with all major manufacturers including Phonak, Oticon, ReSound, Starkey, Signia, and Widex. As an independent practice, we recommend the best solution for your specific hearing needs rather than pushing a single brand.
Do you treat tinnitus (ringing in the ears)?
Yes, tinnitus treatment is one of our specialties. We offer comprehensive tinnitus evaluations and multiple treatment options including sound therapy, hearing aids with tinnitus features, and Lenire—an FDA-cleared bimodal neuromodulation device.
Do you see children for hearing tests?
We specialize in pediatric audiology and see patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. We offer newborn hearing screenings, pediatric hearing evaluations, and auditory processing disorder (APD) testing for school-age children.
